Hi TechyV buddies!

I am having some problem when running an automated test on internet explorer. I have run a quick test Pro v10 to Internet explorer 8. However, an error popped out. The error is this:

“internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close …"

I have tried to resolve it by disabling all the add-ons of Internet explorer and have turned off the Edit->Preferences->Internet->Display PDF in browser of adobe reader. But it seems that it is not working. The error message is still there and it keeps on appearing. Can you tell me what to do? I will be very thankful to any effort to this issue. Thank you!

Hello Carlton,

The following workaround should help you solve the problem you are encountering when using internet explorer:

  • On your computer, click on the START button, and then click on RUN.
  • In the dialog box type in: inetcpl.cpl, and then press ENTER or click OK.
  • This will bring up the INTERNET PROPERTIES.
  • You will need to click on the ADVANCED tab, and then scroll down and click on the RESET button.
  • A window will open, you will need to check the box which says: "Delete personal settings" and then click on the RESET button.
  • After that close out all windows and then click on Internet Explorer to open it.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Carl
