What are the changes a batch job creates in an AS400 system and is it possible to stop the job instantaneously in the AS400 system?

I am not so sure why you will even need to make such changes to the  AS400 system, that is why before you make any changes or try ending all batch jobs, you will need to ask yourself  the following questions:

•  Why do you want to do change or end the processes? That question is important for some changes that you may make to the batch processes may cause serious problems that will affect the performance of your system.
• What is the batch job doing for your system? Think about ending a batch that is meant to make the operating system run well. Ending it will mean that the operating system ceases to perform.
• What is my recovery plan if this batch job is updating files? That will important in case you want to roll back after the changes you have made become tragic.
