Hi,
I have a problem. Emails are being sent to my email address. These emails came from contacts or people I don’t know.
Has my account been compromised? I just did a clean install of Windows 7 today and no virus has been detected on this install and on last one. Can anyone clarify this to me? Thanks.

Hello Lauenhensen,
This is nothing to be worry about. Apparently, your account has been compromised. I recommend the following:
-
Install a malware program and change the password immediately. The new password should be strong.
-
You have to check the information of your account, if there are any changes happened. If you found any change of information, correct it.
-
Ask all contacts in your list if they received any mail from you. Tell them they may have the same problem.
-
Finally, contact the service provider of your email.

A strong password is your first line of defense against intruders and imposters. Here are some few tips:
-
Never give your password to anyone.
-
Try as much as you can to use different passwords for different sites.
-
Create passwords that are easy to remember but hard for others to guess.
-
Remember that the longer the password the better.
-
Include numbers, capital letters, and symbols when creating your password.
-
Consider using a password manager.
-
Don't fall for "phishing" attacks.
-
Make sure your computer is secure.
-
Consider a “password” for your mobile phone too.
