RAR file cannot extract. What does WinRAR file format really supports?

WinRAR is software which supports the following format: RAR, ZIP, CAB, ARJ, LZH, ACE, TAR, GZip, UUE, ISO, BZIP2, Z and 7-Zip.
But “cannot extract” error can be due to a corrupted archive. To repair the archive, you have two solutions:
1) WinRAR repair option :
Using WinRAR, you can repair the corrupted archive by right clicking on the corrupted archive and choose repair.
2) Use Advanced Rar Repair :
This software can be found by making a research on Google. It’s a freeware that is easy to use to repair your corrupted archive.

Hi,
WinRAR supports many types of archive files formats. It handles these compression formats: RAR, ZIP, CAB, ARJ, LZH, ACE, TAR, GZip, UUE, BZ2, JAR, 72, and ISO.
To extract files, you just have to right click the file and select Extract files… it will let you choose where to save the extracted files or Extract Here, to place the files in the same directory and or Extract to filename, it makes a folder with filename in the existing folder and puts the extracted files there.

The winrar supports about fourteen different kinds of compression and also supports to extract all of them. Mostly used file types are RAR, ZIP, TAR and ISO.
But as you told that the file is not extracting, I think the file is already corrupted. I am a regular user of RAR file and I still couldn’t repair the whole file properly.
You can try winrar repair option but although may that will not be able to satisfy you, I think it will be better that find out some good add-on for winrar.
