The Server 2012 can be restarted all the way through a single command. Connect the Windows 2012 server by means of Remote Desktop and follow these steps to restart the server:

• Open the Start menu and in the search box, type PowerShell.

• Open PowerShell interface and write the subsequent command:

                         shutdown /r

• And then press the Enter key.
