RC=1314, A required privilege is not held by the client

Hi friends,

We are currently conjunctively using CA Arcserve Backup v16 and Arcserve D2D v 16. The archserve software needs a login which is compatible with D2D service account for successfully backing up with the software. The backups are on QNAP box on simple share.

If such a login is not used, the error message that we receive is “RC=1314, A required privilege is not held by the client.” Is it possible for me to login as http://qnapaddresshere WebUI using a domain account?

I think that this would bring an end to all our problems. Another thing I noticed is that the changes I do in AD are not getting updated by lansweeper.

Please help me.

Hello Laurel,

To resolve that issue, you will need to do the following:

• On your computer click Start, and then click Run, type secpol.msc, and then press ENTER.
• After that double-click Local Policies, and then double-click User Rights Assignment.
• And then double-click Back up Files and directories, and then click Add, and then double-click the Local Administrators group
• Click OK.
