It probably refers to a trackpad or a similar integrated device, like those joystick modules on the keyboard.

If you remove it from your device list, then you will lose your trackpad. Even if you hardly use it, there will be those few times when you won’t be able to use it.

It is also possible that Windows will reinstall the Synaptics driver next time you boot the machine.
