Received Database Configuration Assistant Error

Hi dear,

I am receiving given error and don't have the knowledge of given terms such as ASMSNM, ASM.

Please describe these terms and give me an answer on the error, in a simple way so that I can understand all steps easily.

Details of Error:

Database Configuration Assistant

Could not validate ASMSNMP Password due to following an error – “ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

Do you want to continue?

If you continue, ASM will not be configured to be monitored by Database Control.

Retry Continue

Received Database Configuration Assistant Error

Hi Jessie,

Base on your error message. You are trying to do some insufficient task that is why error came up in your system. You’re changing the oracle username without any permission. Or your trying to update your but you only have select permission.

Or did you start up oracle by used of internal connection. Also you tried install it without permission in operating system.

This problem can resolve by this steps. Oracle dba can give permission in your unknown files. Or they can carry out the operation for your own good. Then you can add oracle user to the dba grouping. Hope this will work. thanks,
