Received an error message regarding the connectivity error

Hi guys,

I installed successfully Sling Player on my laptop running with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. However, I tried to launch the player and received an error message regarding the connectivity error. I installed the same on my desktop and found no error. How can I get a remedy of this issue? Please help.

This problem usually comes from several of the ATI graphic card and it might be a graphic card issue. You haven’t mentioned about on your graphic card’s specification. I have “GeForce Graphic Card” and it’s working quite very well. Definitely there is no ATI graphic card in your desktop that’s why it’s properly running there.

VMR is a video technology that enhances the video performance.

Initially, you need to check your computer settings. Your Laptop must have DirectX 9 installed. It is the updated video graphic software or driver. You must set it to an acceleration level to allow VMR (Video Mixing Render) to render capabilities . Make sure that your video card has VMR support or you will really encounter an issue. VMR is a video technology that enhances the video performance.

Also, I’d like to inform you that you need to check on your laptop video card if it supports VMR features or not. Since not all graphic cards support VMR feature.
