Hello Hall,
To recover from that situation, you will need to purge the clipboard. To do that you will simply cut/copy some simple text, i.e. from Notepad, for you to be able to overwrite the v16 graphical rung data. If you reboot also you will be able to clear the clipboard buffer.

If this is a programming tool you are using and the problem happened while you are inserting or writing other scripts or commands, I don’t think the problem is somewhat related to the validity of the commands you are inserting or using. Usually, if a program crashes due to incorrect or invalid values inserted in the program codes, it happens only after the program is executed for testing.
But here as what you said, the error or the problem happened while you are in the process of inserting commands on the software and this is not how it happens. Check again if your software is installed properly and any other required components or applications are also installed. You may simply try doing another clean installation on the program. Uninstall RSLogix 5000 then restart your computer when asked. After booting, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. Install the software again then monitor if it’ll crash again. You should also check if the version you are using is still compatible with your operating system. Check RSLogix 5000’s system specifications to better understand it or you may simply visit the website where you actually downloaded it for the product’s information.
