Rechargeable stuff like on the battery of the laptop

Does the rechargeable battery will last a runtime? What will be the different of NiCad batteries and Lithium ion batteries? Is there a need for you to run the battery before charging it again?

These days NiCad Battery has proven to be much more capable of giving long backup time compared to a Lithiun ion b=battery…Its better to use your Laptop Battery down to 45% every day and then plug it in for charging.cycles of proper charge and discharge increases battery life. also a 9 cell battery (lithium ion) which gives a backup time of 5 hrs will surely last longer than a 6 cell battery which gives a backup of 3 hrs…but when choosin a battery for your laptop you must follow the guideline provided with your system.hope that will answer your question. thank you……..
