The recommended memory size in Against Rome pc manual seems to be still low. I felt the game dragged even using 512MB of RAM. Anyone else noticed similar issues in your PCs. Any solution recommended..

Hello

RAM is the only one component which makes your game run smooth. You probably have fraggmented hard drive or perhaps you have viruses. 512 MB of RAM is recommended, but you need to have in mind that your operating system consumes your RAM as well, also it consumes other components like CPU, GPU etc. I would advise to add about 256 RAM so your system and game will run nicely.

Regards.

You’re right. The game “Against Rome” has a pretty much low system requirements because it was created way back in 2009 when computers are still slow unlike nowadays. But if the game still lags even if you have a fast computer, I guess the problem is not with the game but with your system. “Against Rome” supports Windows 98, Windows Millennium, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows 7.

I’m not sure why Windows Vista is not included in the specifications but you can try if you have this operating system. It requires 800 MHz Intel Pentium or faster processor and 256 MB RAM.

Though the game only requires 256 MB RAM and you have 512 MB RAM on your computer, the reason why the game lags is because with that 512 MB RAM you have, probably 200+ or 300+ MB will be left because the system or the operating system is also using it. And this cut in the memory also depends on the operating system you are using.

If you have Windows 7, I don’t think you will be able to play a game at its optimum speed. If you want to improve the game’s performance, add more RAM to your computer.
