Recovery toshiba l505d restore factory settings without a CD. Is this possible? Does Toshiba computer allows to return the computer to factory settings without CD? I need to delete my files and all history of the computer so I have to do recovery. Please, tell me if there is any other option but CD to do recovery.

You can see the manual for Toshiba.

Download and open it then sees on page 62 that while you turn the laptop on you are supposed to press and hold Zero key. But this will not help you; you cannot use the image which is on the hard drive. This means that you need to use the recovery disk.

If you do not make these disks you have limited choices.

  1. Contact Toshiba support and buy the disks for your model.
  2. Take the laptop to a computer repair shop and ask them to install Windows along with the necessary drivers.

Certainly not. If you want to restore the factory settings of your Toshiba l505d laptop, you need to have your application recovery cd as well your driver recovery cd. I believe that the CD is given to you upon purchasing the item. If you happened to lose it or misplace it, kindly contact the computer manufacturer. Alternatively, go to the manufacturer website and download the .iso file format and burn it to cd.
