Evening to you all, while trying to scan a Pdf file today, I received an error message that recommended that I reinstall the software for my scanner HP J6400 Series. I however did not successfully reinstall it given that the process faulted after starting; this was after I’ve uninstalled it completely. How do I correct the system path to complete this installation process?

Reinstall the software for my scanner HP J6400 Series?
Evening to you all, while trying to scan a Pdf file today, I received an error message that recommended that I reinstall the software for my scanner HP J6400 Series. This is a general troubleshooting for scanning issue. This is common problem for HP j series printers.
Follow steps below.
1. Insert the HP disk
2. Go to my computer then open files for HP printer
3. Look for and open a folder with this filename “ccc”
4. Look for uninstall L3 and double click it to begin the uninstall process
5. Once uninstall L3 is done restart pc.
6. Download updated software from HP website. Choose the correct operating system if its XP then used XP, if windows vista or windows 7 make sure you choose the correct operating system because vista and windows seven can be 32 bit or 64 bit.
7. Make sure you choose the full version installation software.
8. Save first then download.
9. After download run software
10. Then Click easy install
11. Choose the correct connection if USB, wireless or Ethernet connection.
12. If USB or Ethernet make sure that you don’t connect USB or Ethernet until prompted to connect.
13. If wireless make that printer is added to the network.
14. Wait until its finish and check for DIM (digital imaging device) in the lower right corner if you have a check mark and if the printer is listed.
15. If yes then you have successfully installed your printer and you can now scan.
Let me know if this will not work.
