Remove bad sector information on hard disk

Hello expert, I had some errors on my windows. After that I installed the windows XP sp3 on my hard disk and I divide my hard into two partitions. But still some bad sector information is showing on my disk. How can I remove bad sector information on my hard disk?

Remove bad sector information on hard disk

Hi,

There is a problem, you did not mentioned what kind of bad sector is influencing your hard drive. But common idea behind bad sector is with the extra space which created when we are using the hard disk, and you cannot use those parts. So in order to solve this you can try defragment. To do this follow these steps.

Step 1 – Go to my computer

Step 2 – Right Click on a partition

Step 3 – Go to properties

Step 4 – Go to tools and press defragment

Step 5 – In defragment window select a partition and first give analyze

Step 6 – 2nd Give Defragment disk and it will take some time

Step 7 – If you need you can do for other partition also If not close it
