Hello experts,
How to resolve duplicates font in MAC OS X? I installed Microsoft Office on my computer and certainly I get a bunch of new fonts that are conflicting to the existing fonts in MAC OS X. How can I resolve it? I want to save some space.Â
Thanks.
Resolving duplicate font in MAC OS X
Hi,
In removing duplicate font you have to use FontBook. Once you've opened the fontbook you will see dots at the end of the font name meaning you have duplicate fonts installed on your system. To remove duplicate fonts you have to select the version of the font you want to remain then hit the edit button and choose resolve duplicate. This turns off the duplicates.
Regards.

Dear Janis,
The FontBook program can certainly help you to remove the duplicate fonts on Mac but it can create problems if you are trying to add lots of fonts. Designers keep lots of fonts and even duplicates. FontBook is not for you if you are a designer.
I will suggest Suitcase Fusion which is more professional and easier to save lot of fonts and even to remove fonts if desired.
Please follow these steps:
1. Click on this link to download Suitcase Fusion version 4 – https://extensis-suitcase.en.softonic.com/mac,
2. Install it,
3. Go to system preferences and enable first auto-activation plug-ins at login.
4. The window of Suitcase Fusion is very much like iTunes. On first launch Suitcase Fusion will create a system fonts library.
5. Now you can search for all or desired duplicates by clicking on Find Fonts (See the picture below),
6. Click on delete the duplicate option to remove them from the library. I am sure you would like to be a professional user instead of a common user.
