Hey there, Microsoft has already acknowledged this error. It is caused because of an unfinished or unsuccessful install or due to faulty registry leftovers by custom MSI packages referred under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS.
They have introduced a toolkit to resolve this error. You just have to download this and run onto your machine, and it will fix the issue by itself. You can get the toolkit from here. To see the detailed documentation at Microsoft’s official website, visit this link.
“Error 1935” is a common error when installing Microsoft applications. You may receive this error when installing not only Microsoft Office 2007 but also in Microsoft Office 2010. The error is triggered not because of Microsoft Office or other applications but because of a version of .NET Framework. This error is triggered when you have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
The installation may fail when an MSI file (.msi) tries to install many policy files which then trigger the “error 1935.” This happens because the registry handles leak. This leak causes an out of source exception error that’s why the installation fails. If you have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, try installing its latest Service Pack. Or better yet, download Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1.
This update contains .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 which replaces and updates your existing Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 component. See if this fixes the problem.
