Hi,
I'm Natalie. I just need help in my problem in viewing AVI and MP4 format in my computer. I have some flv, mkv and rmvb video files. Since I can't view them in media player of Win7, I downloaded and installed GOM player which practically solve my problems for viewing those mention movie formats.
Another problem is that ,now I can no longer view my AVI and MP4 video files using Win7 media player. Every time I played those movie format, it will be automatically played on GOM Player. How can I revert back to play in win7 media player, which I prefer for watching AVI and MP4 movie files?
Thanks in advance.

REVERT AVI to win7 media player
After you install GOM player, all supported video files are played to the GOM player by default since it has been changed during installation of GOM player. To have your AVI play back to win7 media player all you need to do right click on your AVI video file and highlight OPEN WITH, click CHOOSE DEFAULT PROGRAM, select WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER by clicking the icon on it and put a check mark on the option ALWAYS USE THE SELECTED PROGRAM TO OPEN THIS KIND OF FILE. As for your mp4 video file, just follow again those simple steps stated above but this time you will right click on your mp4 video file.
Remember once you have changed the default program, every time you open those file format it will automatically open to the selected program you choose. If you don’t want to permanently change the default program and just want to open the file in different available player just right click on the file and highlight OPEN WITH then select the program you want to use in opening it.
REVERT AVI to win7 media player
Hi
I will solve problem of playing of video files in Windows Media Player. First click on Start menu and select Default Programs. Then select Associate a file type or protocol with a program. Click the file type of AVI or MP4 and then click on Change Program. Select Windows media Player as default. Click Ok. You are done.
