Software development model or process is a method/ series of steps of life development of software product. These are used by companies to manage the flow of work. There are many types of software development models and each one has its own pros and cons. The typical software development model contains following steps:

1. Planning

2. Implementing

3. Testing

4. Documenting

5. Deployment and maintenance
