Router causing Internet connection problem

I have a problem with my Internet connection. The connection drops certain time and reconnects on restarting the router after turning the power off. Try restarting the modem have no effect on the issue. Do I have to replace the router? How can I resolve the issue?

Router causing Internet connection problem

Hello Honey morgan, your issue about the router for your internet connection interests me. I had the same issue a while back. To troubleshoot this issue you need to verify the IP address for your computer network and the correct DNS SERVER. Below are the commands to check the IP address just choose what will work best among the 3 ways.

1. Start / Run / command
2. Start / Run / cmd
3. Start / CMD

Once you have checked your IP address and DNS Servers turn off your router or your internet modem and restart your computer and the router. Check if its working for your internet connection.

If you still encounter the same problem check the cable if its is defective and also the card network and your router port.
