This Trednet router seems to give me hard times. I thought it would be easy to connect 2 computers (laptop + desktop) to the internet through this router but it seems I was dearly wrong. After I have configured the router everything went fine. I have also updated the firmware as I read that it might affect incoming traffic. Both computers got connected. I then started downloading. Here was the catch. Whenever the download speed passed 2.1 mb/s the connection dropped (no matter on which of the computers I was trying to download). I have tried this a few times and each and every time my download speed overpassed 2.1 mb/s the connection dropped. Do you guys have any suggestion to my problem ?
Router Model is TW100-BRV304

Router – Trednet Download Speed Problem
Hello Michael!
It seemed that you really are having a hard time on your router. Let’s try to sort this problem out. Have you tried bypassing the router? Have you tried connecting your main computer directly to your modem? Doing this step would help us know whether the problem is really on your router or on your modem. It might be that this is an issue on your internet service provider. So it is really important to isolate this problem. If you have done this already and got no issues with your modem then it is really with your router. You already mentioned you have done the firmware upgrade and to tell you this is the last resort to router problems. You might need to refer this router to its manufacturer, if it is within warranty I believe you can have it replaced.
