I upgraded my router to a more fast and more reliable one. Usually, connection is made through the local network, but we cannot access the Internet. WiFi connection also needs security so we normally use the WEP security. But when I tried the WPA2-Personal security, I am not able to connect. Is this a software or a hardware issue? How can I properly configure my router to use this type of security?

The router is upgrading problem in security connection.
Hello Bob,
First problem of inability to connect to the Internet.
(a) Verify the settings of the router from your Internet Service Provider.
(b) Are you able to login into the router using the default address, generally it is 192.168.1.1.
(c) Default Username and Password are mentioned on the packing of the router.
(d) Once you have logged in, ensure that all the settings provided by your ISP are entered properly.
(e) Once configured, you should be able to ping router (192..168.1.1) and DNS (8.8.8.8) addresses to verify your connection to the Internet.
Secondly for WiFi security, you need to set the encryption on router. All general OS support this feature. So it is definitely a router issue.
