I have a desktop that has an AMD Sempron processor, 2 GB RAM, 1 GB Nvidia GeForce Video Card, LiteOn DVD burner and a Windows XP 64 bit system. I installed the Roxio Creator 2012 Pro software for burning my photos and videos into DVD. I'm having an error of "software not compatible with OS". What can I do to make this work on my system?
Roxio creator 2012 pro not working in XP
Hello Bennie,
Roxio Creator 2012 Pro is not supported with Windows XP (64bit). The software is supported with XP SP3 (32 Bit) , Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. SO in order to solve the issue you have to install Windows XP SP3 (32 bit)Â or you can upgrade to Windows 7 as Microsoft already stated they will sunset Windows XP soon, so support will not be provided after a few days. Hope this will help.
Thank You.

If you have 64-bit Windows XP, the software is indeed not compatible with your computer. The program supports Windows XP but not 64-bit. Roxio Creator 2012 supports Windows XP Service Pack 3 (32-bit only), Windows Vista Service Pack 2, and Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate) both 32-bit and 64-bit.
It requires 1.6 GHz or faster Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent AMD processor, 512 MB RAM for Windows XP and 1 GB RAM for Windows Vista and Windows 7, Microsoft DirectX 9.0c-compatible video card, 3 GB free space, and 1024 x 768 minimum screen resolution. With 64-bit Windows XP, your best option is ImgBurn.
If you simply need to burn photos and videos into DVD, ImgBurn works perfectly for that.
