Roxio error when tring to open the software

Hello,

I receive the following error message when I tried to load  the Roxio software and tried to run the program. The error says “An unknown error has occurred. The application will shut down now. How can I avoid this error. Please help me to fix this error. Thanks in advance.

Roxio error when tring to open the software

Resolution 1:

You will need to make sure that you are installing the Roxio software with administrative privileges. Before clicking the setup.exe, right click it and then choose "run as Administrator".

Resolution 2:

Download another Roxio software and try installing it, for the one you are installing could be corrupt.

Roxio error when tring to open the software

First of all, you did not mention which Roxio software product you are running when you got this error. But this type of error usually appears on Roxio Easy VHS-to-DVD software. However, this software comes with the Roxio Video Capture and Creator and I'm not sure if there is a separate software for Roxio Easy. To fix this, try to insert the CD installation and Repair it. Just start the installation and you will be ask if you want to Repair the software you have. You can also go to Roxio Support page and then choose your product and search for anything related to your issue. The link is given below:

Also, check if the Roxio product version is compatible with your system.
