Hello people,

Last week I used CCleaner to tune up my computer, and it was done successfully, just this morning when I want to use again CCleaner, I encountered a problem, it will generate an error when I run it, the error is to technical for me to understand, I pasted below the error message for better understanding on my problem.

-pure virtual function call

When I read the error, its to technical for me to understand, and this is my first time to encounter such error, I search the internet for some solution, but I did not find one to fit with my problem, please share some ideas on how to get rid of the error, thanks.

First if you are using now the new version of operating system, like windows vista and windows 7 this Runtime error will always appear because old version of CCleaner is not compatible of windows vista and windows 7. Try to download a new version of that software.

If you want to use the older version, you can use that by running under Windows XP (service pack 2) compatibility. To do that first go to the program files and select the folder of CCleaner and all "exe" files right click and select the properties and go to compatibility and select compatibility mode and check the (Run this in program compatibility mode:) Windows XP(Service Pack 2).
