Sage Simply Accounting Error When Logging In

I get this annoying error message: “Someone else is already using the program under this name. Please use another username and or try again later”. Why is this happening? I have already closed the previous Sage session correctly.

Sage Simply Accounting Error When Logging In

While using Simply Accounting 2008, 2009, or 2010 and on some later versions,Many people came across the error

‘Someone else is already using the program under this name.Please use a different user name or try again later.’

 this error even happen when no other user is logged in.

You can try different solutions for it, and check what ever works for you

a) Try rebooting the server.

b) Kill the process "mysqld-nt.exe" on the server, A lot better than rebooting the server.

c) Log in with other user in multiple user mode. Once you logged in and change multiple user mode to single user mode and log back.
