Samsung Galaxy s handset or iPhone 4?

Hi people.  I'm torn between 2 phones and I don't know what to choose.  I'm choosing between a Samsung Galaxy S with 1 GHz Cortex-A8 CPU, PowerVR SGX540 GPU, OS Gingerbread and Apple iPhone 4 with 1 GHz Cortex-A8 CPU, PowerVR SGX535 GPU, is 4.  Which would be better in terms of computing speed, Samsung Galaxy S handset or Iphone 4?

Hello Conrad,

These two Smartphones are very similar to each other. The Samsung Galaxy S has a slightly better GPU than iPhone 4. Since nowadays the applications for both iOS and Android are pretty much the same, there is only one factor to have in mind, which will be price. The iOS is known for its great interface, icons, etc. but it comes with a higher price.

The computing speed will be the same for both handsets as they have the same CPU. I would suggest you go for the Galaxy S since it provides you with a slightly better GPU, better price and it is highly customizable if you search it.

In this case I may recommend going for the iphone 4, simply because it is worth more in value and is actually a better built phone. I am an android fan myself but if it came down to these two I would choose the 4.  I have used both phones and in terms of speed even with the lesser gpu I found the iphone to be much faster.
