Hello!
I have a SCCM 2007 R3 server in experimental setting. I copied the 'Client' folder from the server to a Win 7 x64 Enterprise PC on the same subnet. When ccmsetup.exe is run via the local client folder on the Win 7 PC, the SCCM client doesn't set up. Setup log is attached.
Any reasons for failure in set up?
Please guide me..
Thanks…
SCCM 2007 R3 server in experimental setting
Hallo Conrad,
I think there are some steps that you have missed out on the installation of the SCCM 2007 R3 server and that is why the client is refusing to run the setup. For the setup to be successful, you need to have internet information service on your computer enabled, and specifically make sure that the following features that are under IIS are enabled:
-
All common hyper text transfer protocol features.
-
The asp.net utility.
-
The web dav publishing tool.
-
The internet information service management compatibility tool.
To access the IIS service, you will just need to go to start on your computer and then choose all programs. Look for administrative tools from the list and click on it, and in the window that opens choose IIS manager so as to start the IIS application server manager. Enable all the services I have mentioned above from there.
