Screen on work PC affecting eyesight

I have an issue with my office pc. Given that I have very poor eye sight, I have been experience issues with the screen of my pc at work. The thing is that the screen flickers a lot. It is a very dated CRT monitor and I was wondering if the flicker is a software or a hardware issue. How can I make it stop?

Screen on work PC affecting eyesight

The flickering of your CRT monitor is because the VGA cable has become faulty. However, to change the VGA cable can quite be a long process and costly. This is because the VGA cable for CRT monitor is not replaceable unlike the TFT cables.You might also consider reducing the screen brightness would help reduce the effect on your eyes.
