 Dear Expert,

Can you tell me what the 'Search IBM Technotes' button in the blunder dialog rectangle in Lotus Notes® 8.0.1 client is? Thank you very much.

 

IBM Lotus Notes

Unable to find path to server. Check that your network connection is working. If you have a working

connection, go to Preferences – Notes Ports and click Trace to discover where it breaks down.

‘Search IBM Technotes’ button in the blunder dialog

Hello there.

Do not worry. This problem is refixable. Press the "Search IBM Technotes" button. It will carry a search for the IBM support site's technotes related to that error, and give the results. You may choose to suppress the display of the button by adding the Notes.ini parameter “DoNotShowDetailsButton=1” to your Notes client. Check the Lotus/Notes Domino Notes.ini settings Web page at http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/dominowiki.nsf/xpViewCategories.xsp?lookupName=Notes.ini

This will help you get more ideas about the variables of notes.ini. In addition to that, verify that your network connection is working. Try network troubleshooting to check that it is functioning properly. Hope your problem gets fixed soon. Best of Luck!
