Searching solution for Hyper-V Manager error

Hello,

I spent so much time looking for a solution to this problem and can't find any. I extremely need your help to resolve the following error message. Thanks in advance.

An error occurred while attempting to start the selected virtual machine(s).

‘Rumor’ failed to start.

Microsoft Virtual BIOS (Instance ID {AC6B8DC1-3257-4A70-B1B2-A9C9215659AD}): Failed to Power on with Error ‘Incorrect function’

Searching solution for Hyper-V Manager error

Hi,

    The above mentioned problem is caused because hyper-V is a server app and  the physical DVD drive might be already mapped to some other Guest Machine on the Hyper-V server.

The problem can be solved by

1. Open the Guest Machine.
2. Then click on media.
3. Under the media option select DVD drive.
4. From the sub-menu select  at un-capture Drive letter for the DVD drive.

This will solve the problem.
Please check this if the problem still remains!
