Serious Error in launching Football Manager 2012

I received an application error when launching Football Manager 2012. I posted the screenshot below:

A serious error was encountered and the application will close. An error file has been generated in:

Serious Error in launching Football Manager 2012

Hello Zurich Bravo,

 

If the solution from Morcelo doesn't work and you have BitDefender installed, there is a known issue with this antivirus.

 

Add FM.exe to the list of exclusions in BitDefender then game should run (how to do that = Antivirus > Advanced Settings > Exclusions and add the FM.exe) FM.exe can be found at –

• C:Program FilesSteamsteamappscommonfootball manager 2012

If this doesn't work try adding the entire Steam folder to list of exclusions (same process but instead of FM.exe is Steam folder).

 

Make sure 'Game Mode' is also turned on in BitDefender and that you have the latest version. You upgrade by using your 2011 versions license code.

 

You can also uninstall BitDefender and Football Manager 2012 should work, but it is not recommended.

Serious Error in launching Football Manager 2012

Hi there,

You have Football Manager 2012 launching Problem.

I think you have already uninstalled and reinstall Football Manager 2012. If this doesn’t work then you should try to uninstall ASUS GPI as it is supported that it may conflict with some of the files. If both of the above methods are failed then I am going to mention another solution for you.

Actually it was problem of crash damps. So you have to fix crash damp or FM. You should load steam. After load steam you should go to your game list and select Football Manager 2012 by highlighting. Then you have to right-click and select properties. You should select the local files tab which is located on the far right.

Now click on the Verify integrity of the game cache. Then click on defragment game cache and complete this. Remove/Replace anything you need. Now the files will be replaced and the game will also reinstall.

I can finally play Football Manager 2012. I am very thankful to you JoshMax. 

I included this application to be excluded and turned on the gaming mode in bitdefender.
