Hi Technical Guys,
I have a desktop that is running on Windows 2000. And, I am trying to install a software via CD, but each time I try, I am getting an error:
Setup.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
I have tried another CD, and it still also saying the same. Any clue on how to this?
Thank you.

Dear Bill,
I after seeing all your post and your words as you said that you are looking to install a software but it gives error and even you try with other CD but still the same problem, there may be two specific reasons for that error,
One would be that your windows is not compatible with that software hence it is not allowing its setup and close it as applicable,
the other reason may be the corruption of your window as you said you used two different CD's for same software but still you are getting error so you should better check your windows may be there are some virus or may be some files may be corrupted due to which this error is coming.
Try this hope this error will not come again

Hi good day this kind of problem have three reason causes.
Three Reasons:
-
The window is not compatible with your software that you being install.
-
The software that you’ve been installed is corrupted.
-
The lens of your CD-ROOM drive was totally damage.
That way your software was encounter error during installation… If you have extra CD-Room please tries to use it so that you can continue the installation of your software.
