I am getting this error whenever I try to back up my iPod using sharepod in my computer. ITunes works perfectly fine as an individual. But the problem triggers when they are all connected together. Am I going wrong anywhere? I am not a technical person, so please help me out for this issue. Thanks in advance.

I think I may have found the cause why it happens. But first, let’s go back to the basics. Before installing Sharepod, make sure your computer meets all the requirements. For Sharepod 3.9.9, it supports Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows Millennium, Windows 2003, Windows NT, x86 or x64 versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
Also, you need to install additional modules such as QuickTime and Microsoft .NET Framework. To download the latest version of .NET Framework, visit Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1. For Apple QuickTime, download the latest version from Download QuickTime 7. Regarding the error you are receiving when backing up your iPod with iTunes running, I think this is not a good practice.
It is possible that iTunes is doing an automatic synchronization while you are using Sharepod. When both programs are running, make sure iTunes is not synchronizing with your device while transferring your data using Sharepod. This could lead to iTunes deleting your data on your device that is not yet in iTunes.
To do it properly, wait until Sharepod is finished with the data transfer before synchronizing with iTunes. Also, iTunes needs to be running while or when using Sharepod. If you are using an older version of Sharepod, download and install the latest version from Sharepod 4 for Windows and Mac. You should also upgrade iTunes to the latest version from Download iTunes 11.1.5.
