Shell Execute Ex failed; code 1053

My pc is a latest one in its configuration. It has Intel core i7 860 processor, 12GB DDR3 RAM,  WD Velociraptor SATA 2 along with P7P55D-E Deluxe. Today I got an error message saying,

Shell Execute Ex failed; code 1053.

The service did not respond to the start or control request in timely fashion.

I am using Win 7 on my pc. It is Home Premium.

Can you say why this error message has appeared and how to solve this?

Any effective idea will highly be appreciated.

Shell Execute Ex failed; code 1053

Hello Janis,

Shell Execute Ex failed; code 1053 means that a service did not start properly. The process is running a service and it's not starting or working properly. The error message that appeared could be solved by two solutions:

1stUninstalling the software then try to re-install it, guarantee you have higher privileges.

If that doesn't work:

2nd Try to run the installer and ‘exe’ in compatibility method.
