Skype update failed with error code 1603 – Skype not Opening.

I was trying to update my Skype to the latest version but encountered an error with error code 1603. After the update failed, I was unable to open Skype. I uninstalled Skype and then installed the older version but still it is not opening. I need Skype all the time to stay in contact. Can someone please tell me what is the problem with Skype? How can I fix the issue? How can I upgrade to the latest version?

Skype update failed with error code 1603 – Skype not Opening.

To fix the error 1603 while Skype updating, you follow the following instructions:

** First of all completely uninstall the Skype. Get the automated fix-it tool from Microsoft. Then, click ‘run now’ so that fix-it tool reinstalls the latest version of Skype.

** If that does not work, download the Revo Unistaller Pro software and run on system so that all the old versions will get delete. Then, you can install Skype version of your choice.
