Hi,
Recently I installed Microsoft outlook 2013. One issue with this is very slow in getting the mail from the server. I am working on multitasks like checking some other files and back to the inbox. Another issue is it is crashing continuously. When I am composing a mail it is crashing in the middle. I'll have to type it all over again. Today it happened about 3 times. Taking a lot of time to send one mail for loosing the data because of crashing. Anybody faced the same type of problems? Please give me a solution.
Slow and Crashing Problems with Microsoft Outlook 2013
Hi Donald V Marsh,
Solution of your first problem that is getting slow email from server is done in some steps:
1. Update Windows
2. Download complete items
3. Archive your Inbox
4. Use Cached Exchange Mode
5. Compact your PST file
6. Repair your PST file
7. Disable RSS
8. Disable add-ins
And the solution of yours crashes during composing mails is:
1. If your PC has installed eset NOD32 or other anti-virus software, the scanner will be activated as a plugin and that casues the problem. You need to disable all add-ins, like avast!.
2. Open Outlook and click File menu and go to Options > Add-ins.
3. Select COM Add-ins under Manage, click on GO options and uncheck everything. Then click Ok button to save and re-open the email to check if it is working.
