In an ideal world, games should be taken over smart phones as it is scientifically proven that some downloadable games are actually very educative when played correctly. However with the introduction of social networks this could be a difficult thing. Social networks are captivating the attention of many smart phone users. It is clear that social networks like twitter and Facebook are quickly becoming the trend among the smart phone community and considering that games has been there for much longer, this is a setback for the gaming world.

Hi Raegannkelly,

 

The very fact that people would go through social networking sites to play games means that the latter is slowly taking over the usual solitary mood of the games. 

 

Games nowadays would have multiplayer features to integrate social awareness so that every gamer can interact with other people. 

 

It is a good thing to integrate the social aspect on every game development because if they don't want to embrace the trend then the time will come that the social networking world will outrun the gaming industry.
