Is software becoming more of a service than a product. I can now subscribe to software instead of buying it

Is software becoming a service

Dear User,

Software are getting to be a service further than being a product. SaaS or the Software as a Service is a software in which applications are being held by providers and make it obtainable across the network or usually refers as the internet.

Is software becoming a service

Software as a Service or as a product, you can utilize it either way. But because of the latest improvements and technology, it is becoming more of a service. SaaS or Software as a Service is a distro model from which the programs are held by the vendor or a service provider to access clients through the internet. 

The benefits of using it are the following:

· Simpler Administration

· Automatic updates and patch Management

· Compatibility

· Easier association

· Global accessibility

Traditional way of purchasing a software and installing it to a PC is known and sometimes referred to as Software as a product.
