Computer runs slow after installing Avira Anti Virus

I have HP laptop. The machine specification is core i5, DM4 Pavilion 2.27, 1 GB Video, 4 GB ram and 500 GB hard disk. It has Genuine Windows 7 home premium (64 bit). I installed Avira antivirus program through the internet free. The problem is that the machine is responding very slowly and some of the applications are not executing properly.

I tried to open Corel Draw application, which first opens properly, and then hang for few seconds and stop the program. I cannot understand why this issue is happening in Laptop? Is this for the Avira application or for another application, is there anyone having similar information on this problem? Please help me to solve this.

Hi,

I have read the issue that you have, if the problem exist right after installing the AVIRA protection on the computer so the issue is with that software. There is a possibility that the virus protection is not compatible or is having conflicts with other softwares on the computer. We can check if you have any other virus protection installed on the computer and have it uninstalled because you can only have 1 virus protection on the computer.

If you don't have any other protections on the computer so that means that we need to uninstall AVIRA. UNINSTALLING PROGRAMS ON THE COMPUTER – click 'start' – click 'control panel' – click 'programs' – click 'uninstall a program' – look for any other virus protection, if none are present, look for the AVIRA and click it – it will be highlighted in blue, click 'uninstall' at the top of the screen – wait for the software to be uninstalled and it will as you to restart the computer – restart computer and wait for it to turn on – check if the problem is fixed and if its fixed that means that the avira is the issue I will suggest installing the Microsoft pc security or the Microsoft security essentials as you virus protection cause I'm actually using it with my windows 7 computer too, and it works fine.

You can get the software to this website and install it on the computer (note: this protection only works if the computers operating system is genuine). – filehippo is the website – look for Microsoft pc security or ms security essentials and look for the windows 7 version of it -start installing it -once its done run a full scan, so it can check for the virus or spyware that might be on the computer.

• I have here some information that can add up to the issue that you have with the computer. There are also some cases that virus protections are not compatible with the computer or it's conflicting with another software installed on the computer. If this will happen so you will be needing to uninstall the protection and reinstall another protection on the computer that will be compatible with the software's installed on the computer.
• Microsoft Security Essentials is compatible with all Windows Operating System except for the lower versions like windows 98/ME/95. Before installing the security software you also need to make sure that the Operating System installed on the computer is genuine since it will check the computer and it will tell you if the Operating system installed on the computer is not genuine.
• If you want to install any other protections for free, you can also visit this site and install it from there. If you want to install a virus protection, but it's not for free, so that means that you need to directly purchase it to the manufacturer so you wont have problems with the license key of the software. Here is some additional information and hopefully I had given you some important information about the software's.
