Software for merging two GIF file images

Hello friends,

What is the best way to join 2 gif pictures? I want to merge 2 gif pictures for a photo editing contest here in our school. Would you give me some suggestion about the most recommended photo editing software? I need that information as soon as possible. I have to do my best to win the contest.

Software for merging two GIF file images

Hello Young,

As a student like you, maybe open source software would be the best match.
GIMP is one of those free to use photo editing software.
And the best way to merge those two gif pictures is to:

1. open both pictures using the gimp tool
2. create a new layer
3. cut both pictures you just opened in step #1 and paste it on the new layer you just created ( step #2)
