Hello People,
Does anyone got a program for 11.10 which allow a USER to put an ISO file such as Windows on a USB? Tried to find for it but all I got is how to put it on a USB using windows… seriously.
I am trying to put Windows 8 on Google's CR48 just for excitements. I do have Windows 7 Ultimate installed on my system, but I too have rebooted the system every time I want to switch.
Thank you very much.
Software to put an ISO file such as Windows on a USB
Hi Jeffrey
You haven't specified what 11.10 actually means. However, as your question is about putting ISO files on USB I'm assuming you want to install the Ubuntu 11.10 with a USB Flash Drive. For this, you can visit the official Ubuntu Help Page regarding the installation from USB. You can also download Linux Live USB Creator which does everything in one go.Â
Alternatively, if you want to install Windows from USB Disk, you will have to manually make your USB Stick bootable. You can visit this page for detailed step-by-step instructions. Though this page is regarded to Windows 7, it works equally effectively for Windows 8 as well. I've tested it. However, if you want to install Windows from your USB Stick after you have made it bootable, you will have to make the USB Stick your primary boot device from your boot menu when the computer starts.Â
Hope that helps. If you have any confusion, please don't hesitate to ask me.Â
