I update the windows of my PC recently but, ‘my CD drive is not working in Windows8.’ How can I fix this problem?

Solution For ‘my Cd Drive Is Not Working Windows 8’ Problem

The first thing you can do is to check whether the disk is causing any problem. Now try to run Hardware and Device Troubleshooter. To do so, follow these steps-

• Type ‘Find and fix problems with devices.’
• Select it.
• Click on ‘Next.’
• Now, follow the steps appearing on the screen.

If the above process is not solving the problem, then, you have to test the drive for a hardware failure. You can do this by following these steps-

• Turn your PC off.
• Press the power button and quickly press the ‘Esc’ button for a few seconds.
• Now, press the F2 key.
• Select ‘Component Tests.’
• Click on ‘Optical Drive.’
• Follow the steps appearing on the screen.
• Now test your CD drive.
