I have a scanner. This scanner has some problem.
One of them, when I am scanning something, Sometimes it is not work.
This is hampered me to work efficiently.
Now I need why occur it and how recover this problem.
How to resolve Scanner not working
Scanner issues of not working is usually common. First thing to do is to check on the driver of the scanner. Is it updated to the latest version? Right Click on My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager, Select your Scanner, then simply click on Update Drivers.If this doesn't work, try to unplug the scanner from your computer and then make a restart. Go to your Control Panel and then remove the driver for your scanner. And then restart your computer again. Install the driver once again and plug it when prompted to insert the scanner. After the installation, restart again.
It is also best to keep your Windows up-to-date. And try to remember the times that it is not working to identify the problem and what are the solutions that you made to resolve it.
How to resolve Scanner not working
Check if your scanner is really turned ON. Check if the plug is connected to the power outlet securely and not loose that might cause some power interruption in the device. Check if the scanner’s USB cable is properly connected to the computer. Make sure that the USB cable is not damaged which can really cause a big problem to the scanner. The computer will not be able to communicate with the scanner if the USB cable is damaged. All the controls and data will pass through that cable and a slight cut in its internal cables will cripple the whole operation.
You may also check the software you are using to operate the scanner. If this is the application that comes with the device, try uninstalling it then check your computer for any possible errors.
Use a disk utility application to check the system.
After that, install the scanner’s software again.
