Hello experts, I own an Xbox 360, and as the other game fans, I also love to collect gaming CDs. Yesterday I bought a game DVD to which I inserted I got an Xbox 360 disc read error. Kindly provide your suggestion to solve this issue.

Solves Xbox 360 Disc Read Error Manually
When you encounter the insert disc error in Xbox, you may receive “Do you own this game or app? If you have a game disc, insert it now. Otherwise, make sure you’re signed in to Xbox Live. If you don’t have rights for playing it, you’ll need to buy it at the Xbox Games Store.” You may receive this error when one of the following conditions is met:
- Your game disc is unreadable.
- You haven’t inserted yet your game disc on the disc drive.
- The Xbox Live service has a temporary problem.
- Your game has been running on your Xbox game console in the background for a long time.
- You aren’t signed in to your Xbox account or the user who purchased the game isn’t signed in.
- The user who bought the game has not enabled sharing.
To fix the problem, first, check the status of the Xbox Live service. If you see any alerts, wait until the service is up and running then try again. If the service is up and running, check that your game disc is already inserted on the disc drive.
You need to insert your disc even if the game is already installed on the hard drive because Xbox uses the disc to verify ownership. Also, try restarting the game. In the game, press the Xbox button to bring up the guide then select “Home”. Make sure the big application tile is highlighted then press “Menu” and then “Quit”.
