Sony PC Companion – Installation Error

Hi Experts,

The problem is with Sony PC Companion. While updating the software I received an error message. Have a look at the error message below. It has failed to update start phone software update components. However, I tried several ways to get a remedy of this issue but failed. Have you any idea? Please help.

Thanks for sharing your problem with us, before installing the Sony PC Companion upgrade your PC to the latest version of Java otherwise you will receive the error. If the problem continues after upgrading Java then download the update service from here:

https://support.sonymobile.com/gb/xperia-companion/.

Download and run the update service and follow the instruction.

Hi,
 
Hall have you tried it after updating the service update for this? I think there is a problem with the compatibility of the service and the installation you are making. Install the service update, restart your device and then try to install the PC companion.
 
 
If this solution didn’t work then try with another PC Companion.
