Hello,
My problem is quite simple but it’s wasting my time so I would really appreciate suggestions for a solution. I’m trying to uninstall the Sophos Anti-Virus software and I just keep getting this error message:
”Sophos Anti-Virus
Error 3003. You must uninstall the Sophos Client Firewall before uninstalling Sophos Anti-Virus.”
I’m using Windows XP and I tried using control panel/remove programs to delete it but still no use.
Thank you very much in advance.
Sophos Client Firewall uninstallation error
Hi there,
All you need to do is Go to Control panel> add/remove program>remove Sophos client firewall.
If you cant find sophos client firewall in add/remove list then do following:
-
Start > Run > Regedit.exe
-
Browse to HKLMSoftwaresophossophos client firewall
-
Right click on key and export it as .reg file to one safe drive.
-
Rename key HKLMSoftwaresophossophos client firewall.old and close editor
Now try uninstalling Anti-virus 😀 😀
Always, keep one thing in mind that whenever you install 2-3 components of a similar product, despite their separate installation, you will need to remove them together, one by one, as they are product s of a similar company and might get integrated after installation.
Sophos Client Firewall uninstallation error
Hi.
Before you start with anything, close all open programs in your computer.
Make sure there is no update on Sophos at this time, if it is, wait for it to finish.
Click on start->run and write services. ms->stop the Sophos autoupdate with right click
Open the Add/Remove Programs and you can delete whatever you want from shops.
At the end you need to restart your computer.
