Hello Aiko,

Kindly follow the below steps for configuring the sound card in your Linux system.

  1. Navigate to Mandrake Control center and goto Hardware option.More there move to MardDrake helps you list and then set up your hardware option and from there to soundcard.
  2. Onto your right, you will see 2 buttons under the details. Now click on the option driver:

“configure module” and “run config tool”.

Configure module is where you can modify the common configure options.

With this list of Config tool, it will also help you.

Your card presently use the ALSA "snd-ens1371" driver. On the Pc that didn't give sound, I changed the driver in this config tool to another driver and then again to the default driver.

So for  es1371, I changed the options found in the configure module. And that sound burst forth from my speakers.

It is highly suggested to execute draksound from a terminal such as the one mentioned and one can check everything there.Just restart it and see if there is something wrong.

However there is no proven methods or guarantee that it will work fine on your PC. I hope this information helps.
