Hi there,

I try to copy some pics from my camera to my MAC and this Warning message appears and doesn’t let me to copy them. If I click OK nothing happens and if I try again the same message appears. Does anyone have any idea why I cannot copy the pics on my MAC ?

Source contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure

This error appears because iPhoto has very strict rules concerning both supported media formats and directory organization. To fix this problem, do the following:

1. Open up iPhoto.

2. Click "Preferences" and look for "Connecting camera opens:" and set it to "No application"

Next time you connect the camera to your MAC, iPhoto will no longer appear. Instead, the camera will be shown as a disc image on your desktop. Open it and drag&drop your pictures to a folder on your MAC or use the menu commands Cut, Copy and Paste.
