Hey Guys,

I am experiencing an issue playing DVDs.

I am using Linux with Totem DVD/movie playing software. I am aware of the fact that many DVDs use CSS for encryption.

Hence in order to play the DVDs I have used special library libdvdcss to archive decoding.

Despite of the above I am still receiving DVD errors.

The source seems encrypted, and can't be read. Are you trying
to play an encrypted DVD without libdvdcss?

Strange that I am still facing this issue. Any expert opinion will be handy.

Hi,

I faced the same problem a few months ago. This is how I solved it:

1. You need to install the latest version of libdvdcss. It looks like you the version 1.0 installed on your system.

2. Download the latest version of libdvdcss and install it on your computer. This is the link to the latest version:

3. When you click the link the latest version will be downloaded on your system. Install it by following the instructions on the installer.

4. Also check whether the DVD-RW Drivers are correct and working.

This should solve your problem.
